The 90 day challenge, setting the goal from head and heart.

I have had the opportunity to help and watch some of the most powerful people achieve mind-blowing goals and dreams. None were by chance. If I could tell some of these stories, what would come through loud and clear is the common thread of the power of mind and heart working together. When this alignment occurs, nothing is impossible, the impossible might just take a little longer to get.

If you happen to be one of those who pay close attention you might see that which you set into motion is manifesting at great speed. The question becomes, do you know what you want? Are you lined up; head and heart?

The beginning of February is the cross quarter time between Winter solstice and Spring equinox. It’s also the Chinese new year, and a great time to revisit what you set into motion for the new year.
There are two ways in which to set resolutions, goals, and dreams.
1. Sit down with computer or paper and pen and think it through. Head.
2. Open to receive what is to come through. Heart.

The difference? The first comes from your perception of what you need, desire and want. The latter comes from opening to receive something outside of your limited thinking and perception. One comes from the head and one comes from the heart. The power of the mind is astonishing and the power of the heart is even greater. When you align the two it’s like hooking up a guitar and amplifier.

That which comes from our thinking has limitations based on our beliefs, our perceptions and our past year’s successes and failures. That which comes from the heart doesn’t limit based on any of those things and, therefore, may present something completely new and fresh and right on the mark for the time we are in.

We are the co-creators of our lives. A new year feels like a blank canvas, how will you paint yours?

By now, most resolutions have been set by the way side as “will power” is what is used by most to get the goal. If you are still hanging onto what you set out to achieve this year, you either have great will power, a daily routine working toward it, or you know something more.

What I am going to share with you over the next few months through my newsletters is “the something more”, the way to bring your resolutions and goals to fruition. There are rules that govern the mind. Knowing these rules turn ideas into habits and get you your goals. There is new science and discovery of the heart, knowing this helps you build power moving you to your desires. There are ancient proven methods to building and harnessing your own internal power which brings you what you align too, what you desire with speed. Manifestation is quick when you know these things. That means, be clear or just be open if not fully clear yet, know what you are asking for is what you want, and hold onto your hat.

Get your goals, revisit them. Set a 10 minute timer and write out with detail what your goals are for this year. Then set another 10 min. timer and close your eyes, breathe deeply. Make your inhalation and your exhalation the same rate. Breathe in for 8 counts, exhale for 8 counts. Do this for 2 min. minimum. Then, in your quiet space, ask what you are to bring through at this time. Ask anything you want to know. Ask “what are the best goals and intentions for me this year?” Then with deep gratitude, listen. When your 10 min. is up, write. Write from that quiet place, write from your heart. Don’t be in a hurry, pay attention over the next couple of weeks as you get more clear. The messages from the Universe and from the heart come in many different ways. Pay Attention!!!
Stay open to the possibility of what can be for you and your life, for humanity as a whole. Stay aligned and open. Stay out of your own way. When the mind makes you feel seperate, or not capable, reminding you of your limitations filling you with anxiety, fear, and frustration, (pinched off), simply return to your breath. Do what opens you up. Hike, run, enjoy a good cup of joe, yoga, definitely breathe, do what makes you feel good. Give it focus for a couple of weeks. Trust the Process.
As my very good friend Dr. Jeff Spencer, author of “Turn It Up”, would say, plan and trust the process.

After you set your goals in motion, GET OUR OF YOUR OWN WAY. Stay open, don’t pinch yourself off, or get all balled up because something occurs that doesn’t feel like it’s line with the goal. Trust!

Commit. Do the work it takes, show up mindfully everyday staying in line with your goal, and your desires.
